I’m Pedro Salman
Mechanical Designer

I specialize in end-to-end autonomous robot hardware design, test automation, and CNC/3D-printed prototyping.

About Me

A brief glimpse into my developed work in mechanical systems.

Engineering Innovation & Prototype Excellence

Imagine channeling the curiosity and rigor that earned me multiple medals in national Mathematics and Astronomy Olympiads into cutting-edge engineering projects. Over the past ten years, I’ve led the RobôCIn hardware team to two RoboCup World Championships and numerous first-place finishes at the Latin American Robotics Competition (LARC), maintaining a win rate above 90%. I specialize in autonomous systems, PCB design, and 3D modeling, using FEA and CFD simulations to create IP68-rated enclosures.

My toolkit includes C, STM32, ESP32, and CAD software (Altium Designer, Eagle, Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks), all managed through streamlined version control on GitHub, Bitbucket, Autodesk Vault, and Altium 365.

What Services I’m Providing

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.

CAD Design

I create precise 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks, Inventor and/or Fusion 360 — defining critical tolerances (±0.02 mm) and producing features so parts go straight from screen to manufature.

CNC/3D Printing

Precision fabrication of metal and plastic parts using CNC mills and lathes with sub-millimeter accuracy, complemented by 3D printing (FDM and SLA) for rapid prototyping and fast iteration of functional prototypes.

FEA Simulation

Using SolidWorks Simulation, I perform static stress, thermal and modal analyses directly on CAD models—identifying stress concentrations, optimizing material layouts and predicting deformation under load.

Moldflow Analisis

Using Fusion 360’s Moldflow tools, I simulate injection-molding fill, pack, and warp—optimizing gate locations, cooling channel layouts, and process parameters to prevent sink marks, shorten cycle times.

Working Process

Stakeholder workshops produce detailed specifications defined under the V-Model with full verification and validation traceability. For iterative projects, requirements are captured as Agile user stories and refined through backlog grooming and sprint planning—methodology applied to suit each project’s context.

Experience

Collaborated with Tomus Soluções, RobôCIn, and Robotbulls to develop hardware and robotics solutions.

Embedded Developer – Tomus

2024 – Present

Design and implement STM32-based firmware for industrial controllers. Develop and validate multi-layer PCBs, integrate sensors (I²C, SPI, ADC) and actuators, and automate hardware-in-the-loop test benches with Python scripting.

Hardware Project Manager – RobôCin

2022-2024

Managed the complete hardware development lifecycle for RoboCup SSL robots, including CAD modeling and FEA simulations of mechanical structures and PCB layout optimization for precise assembly, and coordination of prototype fabrication and system integration.

Mechanical Project Manager – Robotbulls

2019-2020

Managed mechanical subsystems for autonomous mobile platforms. Produced detailed SolidWorks models and FEA simulations, specified materials and 3D printing processes, and coordinated fabrication and quality assurance with external suppliers.

Awards
